Objective
- To promote creativity, innovation and programming among students.
- To improve participants communication and presentation skills
- To identify potential teams to represent Malaysia at micro:bit International Innovation Competition.
Theme
The theme of the competition is “Making my school and community a safer place to be”.
Category
There are two category for the Innovation competition:
- Primary school category ( 10 – 12 years old )
- Secondary school category ( 13 – 17 years old )
General Guidelines
- The innovation project must follow the theme “Making my school and community a safer place to be”.
- Each team should consist of 3 students.
- There is no limit on the number of teams from each school.
- The team must use BBC micro:bit only as the main controller.
- There is no limit to a number of micro:bit to be used in the project.
- The team can use any sensor, servo motor or accessories for the project.
- The team can use 3D printing structures in their project.
- The team are encouraged to use recyclable materials in their project.
- Maximum size of prototype is 60 x 60cm (width x length).
- Functional prototype must be ready before the competition day.
- The team must do a short presentation and demonstration to a panel of judges for evaluation.
- The team can use any creative method to assist them during presentation.
- The team must bring their own tools and other equipment needed to support the project.
- Safety always comes first.
On the Competition Day
- Table setup start at 9.00 A.M.
- All teams will be given 2 hour for project setup.
